TANGENT

Built in Cambridge, England, Tangent hi-fi speakers were designed by the talented John Greenbank. Originally custom made for the Hyper Hi-fi retail chain in the UK, their good sound and excellent value was quickly appreciated worldwide.

• TM1 - 2 -way system with KEF drivers, in a mid-sized, vented enclosure.
• TM2 - 3-way system with KEF drivers, in a large vented enclosure.
• TM3 - 2-way system with KEF drivers, in a small sealed enclosure.
• RS2 - 2-way system with an Audax bass driver and KEF tweeter.
• RS4 – 2-way, as per RS2, except larger, vented enclosure. Included steel stands.
• RS6 – 2.5-way, with 2 Audax bass drivers, in a floor standing vented enclosure.
• RS8 – 3-way with Dalesford bass, Audax midrange and large dome Audax tweeter. Large tapered profile enclosure.
• SPL1 -Miniature 2-way system, with Audax drivers, styled like a BBC LS3/5a, but with crappy terminals.
• SPL3 - No details, but we can be pretty sure it had crappy terminals.
• SPL5 - 2-way system with Audax drivers, in a sealed walnut enclosure. Crappy terminals, but a nice 18dB/8ve network.
